Globatalent, Helping Hands for Talents From Poverty

To be a fan and being supportive of your favorite athletes or clubs may seem easy. But how far would you go out of your way to show your support and dedication to them?
It was never easy to be a sports sponsor as it obviously requires a tremendous amount of resources to invest in an individual or team. The costs to cover physical and mental programs, nutritionists and media are simply too high for an average Joe. Not only that, it’s hard to find a young talented athlete with an attitude that can make it to the big league, that's the payoff.

Until now, only professional sponsors, wealthy individual or big sports brands with interest are capable of taking part in athlete investments. However, there’s a very promising ICO project name Globatalent that is looking to change that and better yet, gives the average Joes like you and me, the opportunity to actually support and invest in our favorite athletes. Let’s look at an example.

MMA or Mixed Martial Art, is the fastest growing sport on earth. Once considered “human cockfighting” and banned in 36 over 50 states of the US, now it’s multinational, multibillion-dollar business with stars that even nonviewers can recognize.

UFC sold for $4 billion dollars in 2016 to WME
With the short history of only over 20 years, many great fighters, champions have come and gone. Just like boxing, most of these fighters came from a poverty. It was very rare to have a fighter who is sponsored in any way. And that’s still true today, many homeless kids on the street with interest in sports are forced to be involved in illegal activities because they couldn’t find a right way to make a living, doing what they love. Only a small number can see that as a motivation to archive greatness. A perfect example would be Jose Aldo, the first UFC featherweight champion who been on an 18 win-streak and crowned the most dominant featherweight of all time.
Jose Aldo
Jose Aldo was born in poverty and left permanently scarred for life after a terrifying accident when he was a baby. With tremendous love for soccer, Aldo wanted to be a professional growing up. However, he was getting bullied and beaten up on the street of Brazil, so bad that he had to stop training soccer and began to train martial art to defend himself. He fell in love with Jujitsu and combat sports. At 17 years of age, Aldo decided to move to Rio de Janeiro empty-handed to make a living as a professional fighter.

Jose Aldo giving kids free training and foods
In a documentary about his career, Jose Aldo shared that, during his journey to become a world champion, he saw many great talents, but most very few could continue to pursue their dreams. Most of them quit because of the cruel reality of the sports: interminable injuries and lack of support. Aldo wishes that the next generation of athlete will no longer have to thrive for foods. That’s why Aldo opened a gym where kids can train and eat for free as well as several other MMA center to support the local fighters of his hometown.

Jose Aldo wish is one step closer to reality as there are many major sports brands also supporting his idea to sponsor young talents. And fortunately, with the advancement of Blockchain and cryptocurrencies, Globatalent project is being developed as a decentralized marketplace where all of us can help to invest in young athletes. Globatalent was created with an athletes-centric focus in mind, it gives athletes ability to raise funds as a kick start for their career and investors the capability to support their favorite athlete with the rights of their future earnings. Every sports fan in the world will soon be able to trade shares (tokens) of their favorite athletes easily and earn part of the athlete income without being a millionaire. This works based on Smart-contract and Blockchain technology to ensure quick and secure transaction, the amount of investment for an athlete as well as their future earnings will be shared among all token holders.
Globatalent is looking to be a major boost for many athlete careers
With Globatalent, we may see more young athletes or even superstars in the making pursue their dreams. In a humbler way, I hope Globatalent can help taking kids out of the bad neighborhood, give them hopes and keep them out of the troubled street. Globatalent is being received very well, it’s presale is already sold out, the public sale is starting soon so be sure to support this great project to change lives!
